Bob Yurochko is a former conductor and instructor of jazz and classical music in the public schools and Kean University in New Jersey. His book, A Short History of Jazz, is a standard college textbook. During his return as a full-time artist he has exhibited at the Automatic Data Processing Corp. in Roseland, Children's Specialized Hospital, NJ Gallery West, Westfield Salon, the African American Caribbean Art Expo in New Jersey, and the JVC Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island.

His works are derived from musical figures, allegories, and drawings. Yurochko is currently Chairman of the Westfield Art Association Sketching Class and is a member of the Chicago Artists' Coalition.
